YOU CAN’T DANCE MY DANCE!

I ran, my speed was like that of Bolt
They followed in quick paces trying to knock me out like Tyson

So I walked slowly, avoiding arrows and spears
They still followed, jumping over stones… I have jumped over rocks
But I choose to walk
These paths are dangerous

I grew wings and I soared
To unknown lands
Feverishly, I toiled mother earth and made her yield
Here is my home
The air sings my praises
The land is in adulations beneath my feet
The leaves danced
And I danced with them
I was lost in the dance, my soul, my body

But they followed
And tried to uproot my seedlings
They couldn’t
In vain, they toiled
The sun was harsh on them
The lands refused to yield
The leaves slapped them in the faces
They still followed
Through paths unknown
They joined the dance
A dance they weren’t invited to
They moved to the rhythm they knew not!

They were dealt with!
The air roared
The lands screamed and rumbled
The leaves rustled and charged at them
an halo of vengeance
They were blown off far away to lands where they came from

They never knew
The race belongs to me
The walk is my walk
The journey is mine alone
The land is my birthright
The dance is my dance
And they can’t dance like me!
